Messy bank statements in. Clean imports out.

Fixes dates, negatives and junk rows, then exports files for Xero, QuickBooks Online and MYOB.

How it works

Three steps, no reformatting in Excel

Check the preview and confirm unclear dates and amounts before importing. Whether your importer accepts a file depends on its rules and your statement layout.

  1. Step 1

    Drop your export

CSV, TXT, XLSX or a text-based PDF statement from your bank, Stripe, PayPal, Shopify or Amazon. No account needed.

  2. Step 2

    Check what we found

Encoding, header row, junk rows, date order and amount style are detected. Confirm ambiguous dates and tweak the column mapping.

  3. Step 3

    Download for your ledger

Pick Xero, QuickBooks Online or MYOB and get a clean CSV (Xero, QuickBooks) or QIF (MYOB) in the layout the importer expects.

What it fixes

The hand edits you do every month, done for you

  • Mixed DD/MM, MM/DD, ISO, month-name and Excel serial dates
  • Preamble, blank, repeated header and footer total rows
  • Trailing spaces, tabs and invisible characters
  • Broken UTF-8 and Windows-1252 characters (Café to Café)
  • Negatives as (123.45), 123.45-, DR/CR or separate Debit and Credit
  • Currency symbols, codes such as USD or EUR, and thousands separators
  • Shuffled or oddly named headers, and files with no header at all
  • Spreadsheet formula injection in text cells

Client bank data stays on your computer

Rowzly processes statement contents locally. Statement contents are not uploaded or persisted by the app. Your organisation still needs to review its privacy obligations, device security and downloaded files. Hosting and support email providers may retain technical logs and messages.

No statement uploads

Parsing and cleaning run inside your browser, including text-based PDF statements. Only anonymous usage counts, failure codes and optional waitlist sign-ups are sent to our service, never filenames or file contents.

CSV and Excel offline

After the app page has loaded, CSV and Excel files keep cleaning without an internet connection. PDFs need the PDF reader to download first.

Statement contents stay in memory

The app does not persist statement contents. Downloads are saved where you choose; the browser may cache site assets. No accounts, cookies or tracking scripts.

FAQ

Questions bookkeepers ask

No. Rowzly reads and cleans your file inside your browser tab using a Web Worker. There is no server that receives files. The app sends anonymous usage counts and failure codes, never filenames or file contents. After the app page has loaded, CSV and Excel files keep cleaning without an internet connection. A PDF needs the PDF reader, which downloads the first time you open one.
